Susan Wynn has spent her 25+ year career in administration, instruction, and information systems working within higher education, government, and non-profit entities.
She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), with a Master of Science degree in Information Management (MSIM) (Arizona State University, W.P. Carey School of Business), as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies with dual minors in Business and Interdisciplinary Writing & Rhetoric (Eastern Oregon University, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Theta Kappa). She is also a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Susan teaches courses in Project Management at Arizona State University for the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts. She is also the former information systems manager directing ASU's enterprise budget systems (Workday Adaptive Planning, STAR).
Susan currently works as a senior project management consultant for a private consulting firm in its higher education area. She was formerly the director of special projects in the Office of the Senior Vice President of Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), assisting in development and execution of strategic initiatives utilizing skills in process improvement, project management, change management, and communication.
Susan has strong ties to Arizona and project management. She participates as an Advisor and Past-President on the leadership team of the ASU Project Management Network organization (2014 – present). She is also a volunteer leader at the Project Management Institute (PMI) Phoenix chapter (2018 - current: AVP Membership; 2016 – 2018: Board - Vice President Membership; 2012-2016 Past: Financial Liaison Director, Membership Ambassador Director). In addition to volunteering at PMI Phoenix, she also can be found volunteering and presenting at the Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO) and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
Susan continually seeks and looks forward to opportunities to grow both personally and professionally, with her most recent studies focusing on organizational development in higher education. She has a wide range of personal interests including music (she also teaches private piano lessons), science, technology, animals, the forest, education and cooking (especially baking). She has a delightful sense of humor, enjoys all things STEAM (both real and imagined), and laughs often.
