Eduardo Schmidt Passos is a Assistant Professor at the School of Civic, Economic Thought, and Leadership at Arizona State University. His research and teaching focus on political theology, religion and politics, contemporary political theory, history of political thought, and Latin American political thought. Currently, he is working on a book manuscript on “Carl Schmitt’s Political Theology and Christianity.” His articles have been published by European Journal of Political Theory, The Review of Politics, History of Political Thought, Comparative Political Theory, Perspectives on Political Science and others. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Center for the Study of Liberal Democracy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2021-2024 and a lecturer at Texas State University from 2018-2021.
