Dr den Heyer is a mixed-methods researcher whose interests include police organizational reform and performance, police service delivery effectiveness, the police response to terrorism and the militarization of policing.

I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Public Administration and Public Policy at the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University.

German’s research and teaching focus on American political and constitutional thought, as well as early modern thought. He has been at ASU since 2017.
