Ali Zain βis an assistant professor in strategic communication at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. His research is focused on studying strategic message features that drive public perception, engagement, and behavioral outcomes in a range of contexts including health and science communications, misinformation, information processing, and societal disparities. He has rich experience in quantitative methods (e.g., experiments, surveys, content analysis), computational analysis (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing, large-scale data analytics), psychophysiological methods (e.g., eye-tracking, galvanic skin response, facial expression analysis, EEG, fEMG, ECG), and qualitative methods (e.g., thematic analysis, in-depth interview, focus group).
