Long Bio
Karen Stafford has been a faculty associate in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University since Fall 2016. Her prior academic position was with Western International University as an assistant professor. Her certifications include: Licensed Human Element Practitioner; Certified Mediator; Master Facilitator Certification - Employment Learning Innovations; Trainer, Radical Collaboration; and Myers Briggs Certified Trainer. She also presents at local, statewide, and national conferences.
She is also the Employee Experience Director for an EdTech company in the K-12 space leading a team focused on optimizing the employee lifecycle from onboarding to employee engagement, learning and development, and wellbeing. Prior to this, she served in a variety of nonprofit leadership and consulting roles focused on membership development, public relations, organization and leadership development, and human resources.
In addition to serving as the president of the Peeples Valley Fire Auxiliary and finance committee member for the Peeples Valley Fire District Board, she has also been on the City of Phoenix Business and Workforce Development Board, where she was an executive committee member, chair of the Continuous Improvement Task Force and vice chair of the Community Outreach and Education Task Force.
