    Executive Officer for a 520-person engineer construction organization, responsible for all administrative, logistical, maintenance, and personnel requirements to support sustained operations both locally and internationally • Planned and resourced the preparations for deployment in support of combat operations in Baghdad Iraq by articulating requirements, and integrating all incoming personnel, logistical, training into a coherent plan that brought the unit from the worst state of readiness upon alert (C4) to the pinnacle of readiness (C1) in 152 days, normally a multi-year process • Deployed the battalion to Baghdad Iraq to become one of the only route clearance assets in the country while also conducting complex construction operations within the Baghdad Amanate and its surrounding provinces, greatly enhancing safety for all assets transiting the area • Received the Meritorious Unit Commendation from the Secretary of the Army and the first-ever award for the battalion • Planned, resourced and developed a heavy rescue capability (90 personnel in a voluntary capacity while in combat) to support the 1st Cavalry Division using existing personnel, including extensive training, site surveys, preparation of contingency plans and was named RESCUE ONE • RESCUE ONE was called to the scene of a bombing in Ghazaliyah in the Baghdad Aminate that leveled an entire block.
