Allison (Allie) Lansman (she/her/hers) is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Public Health Professional, and Research Specialist at the Swette Center whose passion for agrifood systems change was initiated during her upbringing on her family’s Iowa farm and food businesses. Dedicated to advancing just, sustainable, and nourishing food systems, she works to foster collaboration at the intersection of nutrition, agriculture, environmental health, and community. By harnessing the power of curiosity, knowledge sharing, and collective action, Allie believes we can transform how we produce, share, and consume food for the mutual benefit of people and the planet.
Outside of her work at ASU, Allie dedicates her expertise to empowering nutrition and public health professionals as food systems leaders, serving as the Sustainable Food & Water Systems Chair for the AND Hunger and Environmental Nutrition Dietetics Practice Group and as the Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Planetary Health Collective. In her local community, Allie collaborates with neighbors as a Master Gardener to cultivate free-access gardens filled with culturally relevant, nutrient-dense produce, supporting grassroots efforts to improve nutrition security and strengthen community resilience.
