Thomas’s research and teaching focus on world cultural processes and their constitutive effects on authority, agency, and identity. He studies how these processes affect religions and how religions engage them.
Sweeney is a nationally recognized leader in the fields of publishing and teaching of American art. He is an expert on the art of the American West, the Hudson River School, and American painting in the 19th century.
In addition to teaching commitments for the Collaborative Piano Department at ASU, Ryan has been involved with the Chamber Music program, vocal coaching, and Art Song classes.

Le started Vietnamese language program in 1991 and developed the curricula for all levels of Vietnamese courses at ASU. She is the author of several textbooks and workbooks and developed many web-based learning materials.
